GEORGE MACDONALD, Father of the Inklings, is the Victorian novelist and seer C.S. Lewis called his spiritual “master.” His books influenced the writings of the “Wheaton Seven,” including C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and those known as the Inklings. Michael Phillips is the writer who helped bring MacDonald's works to widespread public attention in the 1980s.
